Mechanism

This combination works through a dual mechanism targeting both the cause and symptoms of urinary tract infections.
Ofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV enzymes, preventing DNA replication and leading to bacterial cell death.
Flavoxate acts directly on urinary tract smooth muscles by inhibiting phosphodiesterase activity and reducing calcium influx, resulting in muscle relaxation and relief from bladder spasms.
Together, the combination ensures eradication of infection along with rapid relief from pain, urgency, burning sensation, and discomfort, improving overall treatment outcomes.
