Resveratrol + L-5-Methyltetrahydrofolate

Tablet

Our health supplement l-5-methyltetrahydrofolate and resveratrol is synergistic combination which is a powerful antioxidant, supports cardiovascular health, and benefits in folate deficiency. This product provides the nutrition necessary to support many metabolic processes‚ including nervous system functioning‚ hormone metabolism‚ homocysteine metabolism‚ and DNA synthesis.
Homocysteine is a common amino acid in your blood. Deficiency of folate increases the metabolic disorders which affects homocysteine levels. Because of this, it's crucial to mitigate the risk factors for heart disease, by lowering the homocysteine levels, increase the blood flow and reduce the inflammation.
The interior surface (endothelium) of arteries produces nitric oxide. When plaque builds up in your arteries, called atherosclerosis, there is reduction in capacity to produce nitric oxide. NO promotes healthy dilation of the veins and arteries so blood can move throughout your body. Plus, it prevents red blood cells from sticking together to create dangerous clots and blockages.
So, our product provides biologically active form of folic acid, l-5 methyltetrahydofolate and antioxidant resveratrol which support optimal cardiovascular health by lowering the level of homocysteine, increase the production of nitric oxide and helps in folate deficiency.

Mechanism

L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate is the active form of Vitamin B9; that regulates routine body functions. It's already active‚ this form of folate does not require any additional metabolic steps in order for it to be used by the body.
L-5-MTHF is critical for the detoxification of homocysteine, and increase the production of nitric oxide. Like blood cholesterol, serum levels of homocysteine are directly associated with cardiovascular disease. High homocysteine levels do more than damage arteries. Conditions associated with elevated homocysteine levels include coronary artery disease, heart attack.
L-5 MTHF is readily available and easily usable by cells. 5-MTHF improves peripheral blood flow in the arteries by increasing nitric oxide production in the vascular endothelium. This mode of action supports heart health.
Resveratrol is an antioxidant. It provides benefits like cardiovascular protection, and strengthening of the immune system.
It has cardio protective activity by modulating vascular cell function, inhibits LDL oxidation, suppresses platelet aggregation, and reduces myocardial damage during ischemia-reperfusion. It reduces inflammation and lowers LDL or cholesterol levels which help reduce clots from forming which then lead to a heart attack or stroke.

  • Anti-oxidant used to fight signs of aging
  • Improves mitochondrial health & energy metabolism
  • Reduces inflammation & increases blood flow in heart

Pharmacokinetics

  • Resveratrol: Rapid absorption, extensive first-pass metabolism, low bioavailability but active metabolites contribute to effects.
  • L-5-MTHF: Well absorbed, widely distributed, metabolized in liver, excreted via urine.

Side Effects

  • Resveratrol: Mild gastrointestinal upset, headache, dizziness at high doses
  • L-5-MTHF: Rare hypersensitivity, insomnia, irritability if overdosed

Contraindication

  • Hypersensitivity to resveratrol or folate
  • Patients with bleeding disorders or on anticoagulants
  • Use with caution in pregnancy and lactation

Interaction

  • Resveratrol may interact with anticoagulants (warfarin), antiplatelet drugs, and CYP3A4 substrates.
  • L-5-MTHF may interact with antiepileptic drugs (phenytoin, carbamazepine) and methotrexate.

Warning and Precautions

  • Use under medical supervision in patients with neuropathy or seizure disorders.
  • Monitor renal function during long-term therapy.
  • Avoid abrupt discontinuation to prevent rebound seizures.
  • Store at 25°C; excursions permitted to 15–30°C.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
