Pregabalin, Methylcobalamin, Vitamin B6, Folic Acid & Benfotiamine

Capsule

This is a combination capsule containing Pregabalin together with Methylcobalamin, Benfotiamine, Vitamin B6 and Folic Acid. Pregabalin is a centrally acting medicine that modulates neuronal calcium-channel activity and is used in approved indications such as certain neuropathic pain conditions. The vitamin components provide nutritional cofactors involved in normal neuronal and cellular metabolic functions.

Mechanism

Pregabalin binds to the alpha-2-delta subunit of voltage-gated calcium channels in the central nervous system. This reduces the release of several excitatory neurotransmitters and decreases abnormal neuronal excitability. Through this mechanism, Pregabalin can help reduce neuropathic pain and is used for specific approved neurological indications.
Methylcobalamin is an active form of Vitamin B12. Vitamin B12 participates in normal DNA synthesis and neurological metabolism and contributes to normal maintenance of nerve cells and myelin.
Benfotiamine is a lipid-soluble derivative of thiamine (Vitamin B1). It is converted to biologically active thiamine derivatives that participate in carbohydrate metabolism and cellular energy pathways.
Vitamin B6 is involved in numerous enzymatic reactions, including amino-acid metabolism and neurotransmitter synthesis. It contributes to normal nervous-system function and protein metabolism.
Folic acid is a form of Vitamin B9 that participates in one-carbon metabolism, DNA synthesis and cell division. Folate is also involved in normal red blood-cell formation.

Dosage

  • As directed by the Physician.

Side Effects

  • Dry mouth
  • Headache

Contraindication

  • Hypersensitivity to Pregabalin or any component (Methylcobalamin, Benfotiamine, Vitamin B6, Folic Acid).
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding — not recommended unless benefits outweigh risks.
  • End‑stage renal disease requiring haemodialysis — contraindicated due to altered clearance.
  • History of angioedema with Pregabalin — risk of life‑threatening swelling.

Drug Interactions

  • Alcohol: May increase CNS depression, dizziness and drowsiness.
  • Opioids and other CNS depressants: May increase sedation and respiratory-depression risk.
  • Other medicines affecting the CNS: May enhance impairment or sedation.
  • Medicines requiring renal dosing: Appropriate clinical assessment may be required because Pregabalin is primarily renally eliminated.

Warning and Precautions

  • Use only according to the recommended serving.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Do not exceed recommended dosage
  • Older patients may be more susceptible to dizziness, somnolence and falls.
  • Patients should seek immediate medical attention if symptoms suggestive of a serious allergic reaction occur.
  • Do not use if the seal is broken or the product has been tampered with.
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and moisture.
