Piroxicam

Cream

Mechanism

Piroxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes involved in prostaglandin synthesis. Reduction of prostaglandin production helps decrease pain, inflammation, swelling, and stiffness at the affected site.
