Myo-Inositol + L-Methyl Folate + Vitamin D3

Tablet

Myo-Inositol has been established as an important growth-promoting factor of mammalian cells and animals. Inositols implement different strategies for therapeutic actions such as tissue specific increase or decrease in inositol products, production of inositol phosphoglycans (IPGs), conversion of myo-inositol (MI) to D-chiro-inositol (DCI), modulation of signal transduction, regulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, etc. It’s a type of sugar that influences the insulin response and several hormones associated with mood and cognition. Inositol also has antioxidant properties that fight the damaging effects of free radicals in the brain, circulatory system, and other body tissues.

L-5-Methyltetrahydrofolate is an active metabolite of folic acid and a methyl group donor in one-carbon metabolism reactions. It regulates important cellular functions such as DNA biosynthesis, gene expression regulation, amino acid synthesis and metabolism, and myelin synthesis and repair. As only form of folate that can cross the blood-brain barrier, it acts as a cofactor in the production of monoamine neurotransmitters such as dopamine, serotonin and norepinephrine. L-5-Methyltetrahydrofolate is also involved in red blood cell formation. It also plays a critical role in methylating homocysteines into methionine by acting as a methyl donor in a reaction catalyzed by vitamine B12-dependent methionine synthase. Homocysteine must either be further metabolized via transulfuration to become cysteine, taurine, and glutathione via a B6-dependent process, or re-methylated to become methionine again. Methionine formed from remethylation of homocysteine by levomefolic acid forms the downstream metabolite S-adenosylmethionine (SAMe), which is involved in numerous biochemical methyl donation reactions, including reactions forming monoamine neurotransmitters.

Folic Acid is a type of B vitamin helps your body produce and maintain new cells, and also helps prevent changes to DNA that may lead to cancer. Folic acid is sometimes used in combination with other medications to treat pernicious, aplastic, or normocytic anemia.

Mechanism

Myo-Inositol improves insulin sensitivity and ovarian function, aiding in PCOS management. L-Methyl Folate bypasses folate metabolism steps and directly supports DNA synthesis and red blood cell maturation. Vitamin D3 enhances calcium absorption and bone mineralization. Cyanocobalamin supports nerve health and hemoglobin synthesis. Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate acts as a coenzyme in amino acid metabolism and neurotransmitter synthesis. Biotin and Zinc provide enzymatic support for tissue repair and reproductive health.

Pharmacokinetics

  • Absorption: Myo-Inositol absorbed in intestine; Folate and B12 absorbed efficiently; Vitamin D3 absorbed with dietary fat.
  • Distribution: Inositol distributed to ovaries and tissues; Folate to bone marrow; B12 stored in liver; Vitamin D3 to bone and muscle.
  • Metabolism: Folate metabolized in cells; B12 converted to active coenzymes; Vitamin D3 hydroxylated in liver and kidney.
  • Elimination: Excreted via urine and feces.
  • Half-life: Myo-Inositol ~5 hrs; Folate ~4 hrs; B12 ~6 days; Vitamin D3 ~15 hrs.
