Gum Paints can be used to provide relief from inflamed and bleeding gums, cold sores, and mouth ulcers. Tannic acid is applied topically for the treatment of cold sores, diaper rash, fever blisters and poison ivy. Iodine acts as anaesthetic and anti-infective. Menthol acts as local analgesic and gives cooling sensation whereas camphor also act as local analgesic. Thymol acts as analgesic and antiseptic.

  • Painful gum disorders
  • Inflamed and bleeding gums
  • Teething pain and irritation
  • Stomatitis (inflammation of the mucous lining of the mouth)

Mechanism:
Iodine acts as antiseptic and anti-infective. Iodine has powerful bactericidal action, quickly gets to work killing bacteria and viruses. Tannic acid acts as astringent for the mucous membrane of the mouth. It forms a film of protein 'tannate' that acts as mechanical protective. Menthol acts as local analgesic and gives sensation of coolness which gives some relief from the pain. Camphor acts as mild analgesic. Thymol is a phenolic compound with antiseptic and antibacterial property.

Side Effects:
The product is possible safe for most adults. There is no disadvantage associated with the product if taken under the recommended usage however if severe side effects are observed, immediately discontinue the use and seek physician's advice.

How to use:
Apply with a cotton applicator for two or three minutes to the affected area.

Precautions & Warning:
Do not rinse with water or eat/drink anything for 10 minutes after the application of gum paint.

Store in a cool and dry place. Protect from direct sunlight.
