Citicoline Sodium Injection contains the active substance Citicoline belongs to a group of medications called 'psychostimulants', which protects the brain from neurotoxicity (damage to the brain).
Citicoline is a little-known nutrient that naturally occurs in the brain and body. It can help brain health and function in a variety of ways — by raising levels of important neurotransmitters, increasing mental energy, and protecting the brain from damage, toxins, and aging. It seems to increase a brain chemical called phosphatidylcholine. This brain chemical is important for brain function. Citicoline might also decrease brain tissue damage when the brain is injured.
It is usually given in cases where oral administration is unsuitable.
